Florinda A. “Renda” (Ricci) (Frank) Willhoite, age 88, of Brockton died on December 27, 2012, at the Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Barrington, RI and raised in Hyde Park, a daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (Conti) Ricci. For over 40 years she had lived in Brockton with most of that time at the Campello High Rise.
Florinda was primarily a homemaker. However in her earlier days, she had been a waitress at many finer restaurants in Boston. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, socializing, playing Bingo, and watching sports. She was an extremely energetic and independent lady. She also had a tender and compassionate side and was always helping others in need. Renda’s true joy in life was her family, especially spending time with her grand children and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Barbara A. Cummings and her husband Charles of Raynham; Richard A. Frank and his wife Franny of Avon Lake, Ohio and Daniel R. Frank of Weymouth. She was the sister of Angie Goulart of Plymouth, Josephine Fletcher of Weymouth, Victoria Ricci of Hyde Park, Mary Stracqualursi of Holbrook, Anthony Ricci of Dedham and the late Jenny Dabwalski, Annie Gotovich, Margaret Zaccardo, Domenic(Mitzi) Ricci, Harold Ricci, Orlando Ricci. She also leaves 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Florinda was the former wife of the late Ivan E. Frank.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 from 3-6 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., followed by burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
