Obituary

LOWELL—Richard A. Tully, 72 years old, died Tuesday June 29th. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. (Barrett) Tully, a U.S. Air Force Veteran and lifelong resident of Lowell.

He was born in Lowell, on April 13, 1932, a son of the late Bernard A. and Ellen (Adams) Tully. He was a graduate of Lowell High School, and attended Lowell Technological Institute, prior to entering the Air Force. He served as a Navigator with the Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, in Eniwetok, South Pacific.

Mr. Tully had been employed as a Probation Assistant at the North Middlesex District Courthouse, in Haverhill for 20 years, prior to his retirement. He also worked as a Director of Sales for Tully Associates.

Surviving him besides his wife are a son: Andrew W. Tully, of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two brothers and sisters-in-law: B. Joseph and Annette (Chouinard) Tully, of Lowell; and Frank P. and Joan (Lambert) Tully, of Chelmsford; a sister-in-law: Millouise Barrett, of West Yarmouth; nieces and nephews: Sharon E. Tully, Joseph R. Tully, Philip R. Tully, JoAnn Tully Keegan, Ellen K. Nutter, and Stephen P. Tully; also several grand nieces and grand nephews.

Friends may call from 4 until 8 PM Friday, July 2nd, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered Saturday, July 3rd, at 10:30 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. Donations in his memory may be made to Saints Memorial Medical Center; Oncology Department; P.O. Box 367; Lowell, MA 01853-9938.
