Sharon L. (Kasenenko) Young, 56, died unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, December 25, 2012. She was the wife of the late John Young, who predeceased her in 1997.
Born in Beverly on May 6, 1956, she was the beloved daughter of Jeannette (Bolduc) Kasenenko of Danvers and the late Stephen Kasenenko. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1974.
A Gloucester resident for thirty-three years, Sharon was employed as an accountant for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at the Hogan Regional Center prior to her retirement.
She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, bird watching, and spending time with her family, and cherished her dog, Molly.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Shaun Young and his wife Kate of Groveland, five sisters, Pauline Smith of Indiana, Carol Amato of Peabody, Linda Shaktman of Hamilton, Donna Lovell of Maine, and Susan Dembowski of Wilmington, many nieces, nephews, and a loving extended family.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 9AM in Saint Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon’s name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
