Mr. Reginald O. “Reggie” Harris, a resident of Medford since 1963 and beloved husband of Dolores J. Wilson) Harris, died at the Glen Ridge Nursing Center in Medford on Sunday evening, December 23, 2012. He was 83 years old.
Born in Reidsville, North Carolina, on August 2, 1929, he was the beloved son of the late Charles and Pauline (Rogers) Harris. Reggie served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was awarded his honorable discharge.
In civilian life, Mr. Harris worked as a Mail Handler for the Post Office and also worked for R. W. Shattuck Hardware in Arlington for many years. He was a longtime member of the VFW in Medford and a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church of Medford.
Besides his beloved wife, Dolores, Reggie will be missed by his loving children; Edward E. Washington, III of Springfield, Ohio and Walter B. Washington of Los Angeles, California, grandchildren; Nicholas S. Washington of Louisville, Kentucky, Lauren E. Washington of Milwaukee and Ellen E. Washington of Springfield, Ohio, nieces and nephew; Yvonne M. Shaw of Brockton, Joshua A. McKay of San Diego, Janene L. Mendalka of Lynn and Jeanice L. Banks of Brockton.
