Obituary

Carol (McCabe) Heberle, beautiful and loving wife of Charles T. Heberle III and the late James McCabe went home December 22nd to tend GOD’s garden. Lucky GOD. He will be the envy of all the neighbors. We will miss her eternal positivity, her spunky, fun loving, humorous spirit, and her boundless love. As a child she made it one of her life’s goals to be a good wife. She succeeded in spades. Wouldn’t it be a better world if we all made it one of our life goals to be a good wife/husband? She made her little corner of the world a better place. She made little money. She did not achieve fame. She had no power other than the power of her love and she was loved by all who knew her. Her flute students from the Wellesley Public Schools, where she worked most of her life, told that she taught them as much about life as music. She achieved what should be the most coveted grade of all the one’s we can earn here. She got an ‘A’ in life!

GOD bless you Carol, our friend and sunshine, and thank you GOD for allowing us to experience a really good person that we should all emulate. Any time with Carol was a good time. Lots of crying here but no recriminations. We will give her an Irish wake and a bang up funeral and salute a life well lived. Amen!

Carol is survived by her husband Charles and her sister, Ann Carey of Newton as well as her parents, Chester and Esther Capodanno of Newton. Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16) Wellesley, Saturday January 5th at 930 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visitation prior to the mass in the Funeral Home 830 AM to 930 AM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley. The Funeral Mass will be a lovely musical affair attended by the St. Paul’s Choir and members of the Wellesley Symphony where she was first flute. After the interment all are welcome at 17 Paine St for a celebration of Carol's wonderful and well lived, if too short, life. That will commence about half an hour after the burial service and go until the last person leaves. Carol will be there in spirit for sure! Expressions of sympathy can be made by donating to the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra, PO Box 81860, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481-0010 or The Citizenship Project, 17 Paine St. Wellesley, MA 02481- 6003
