Obituary

UXBRIDGE: Lillian Irene (Peters) Hall, 92, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 24, 2012 following a brief illness.
She was born in Digby, Nova Scotia, Canada on September 19, 1920 the daughter of the late Gardner Peters and Bertha (Sabean) Peters.
Mrs. Hall was the beloved wife for 64 years of the late Harold Richard “Hallie” Hall who died on July 14, 2006.
She was the devoted mother of Thomas G. Hall and his wife Janet L. Drake of Framingham and Janet I. Mercer and her husband Edward of Uxbridge. She was the grandmother of Rick Hall of Beverly, Jason Mercer and his wife Kim of Linwood, Brandon Mercer and his wife Katy of Uxbridge and Joe Mercer and his wife Andrea of Uxbridge. Cherished Great-grandmother of Mallorie Mercer, Harold Mercer, Nicole Hall and Alec Hall. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Bernice Fisher and Loren Peters.
Mrs. Hall has resided in Uxbridge with her daughter for the past 11 years and previously resided in Wayland for most of her life. She was educated in Canada and came to the United States in her teens. For over 30 years she was a Manufacturing Supervisor with Farmers Electric and then with Honeywell before her retirement. She enjoyed football and spent many hours watching and supporting the grandsons’ football games. She was an avid Patriots fan and also loved to travel with her husband throughout the United States. They enjoyed taking cruises and also went cross country in their earlier years. Lillian enjoyed her many visits to Hampton Beach and the “girl’s weekends” with her daughter and Joan. She loved to visit lighthouses and had a large collection at her home. She spent many hours knitting and loved to cook for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and especially enjoyed the time spent with her four great-grandchildren.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm in the Bryant Memorial Chapel of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Her funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10:30 AM followed by interment in the Hall family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests memorial gifts in her memory be sent to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 North Beacon St, Watertown, MA 02472 and would be greatly appreciated.
