In Taunton, December 25, 2012 Daniel O’Connor son of the late David and Carrie (Greco) O’Connor died suddenly in his home on Highland Street at the age of 68. Daniel was born and educated in Taunton and then joined the US Army serving during the Vietnam era from 1968-1974, receiving the bronze star. Daniel was a former greyhound kennel owner in Raynham and Taunton and was a former supervisor at various casinos for over twenty years. He was a member of the Taunton D.A.V., Vietnam Veterans Assoc., Taunton V.F.W. post 611, Taunton Lodge of Elk’s post 150 and he also enjoyed visiting Foxwoods casino. Daniel was the father of Kathy Maher and her husband Michael of South Easton, Keri O’Brien and her husband Michael of Easton and Daniel O’Connor and his wife Kathy of Taunton. Brother of Carolyn Powers and her husband George of Taunton and the late David O’Connor. Grandfather of Cara, Sean and Stephen Maher all of South Easton. Uncle of Patricia Sault and her husband Pat of Taunton, Janet Curley and her husband Peter of No Dighton, Maureen Hebert and her husband James of Taunton and George Powers and his wife Jean of Bridgewater. Companion of Barbara Nolan of Attleboro. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 29th from 9-11 AM followed by a service at the Funeral Home at 11 AM.
