Obituary

Thomas T. Freedman, 63 of Gloucester, died Monday evening, December 24, 2012 at the Addison Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester following a brief illness. He was the husband of Peg Wiselogle.

Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late Edward P. and Marie B. (Gilligan) Freedman. A graduate of St. Mary’s Salem and St. Mary’s high School in Lynn, he also attended University of Mass. in Amherst. Tom worked as a gardener for a number of customers on the North Shore over the years. He had a fierce love of nature, enjoyed studying maps, and was an avid weather watcher. He followed world events closely and had no shortage of opinions on current topics, which made him a force to reckon with in conversations with family, friends and sometimes the casual acquaintance!

In addition to his wife Peg, he is survived by his son Frank F. Freedman of Gloucester, a brother, William J. Freedman and his wife Debbie of Errol, NH, several nieces and nephews, including, Anna E. MacNeill and her husband Matt, Thomas E. and Emily A. Freedman, as well as many cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM to be followed by his memorial service at 3:30 PM in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem.
