Mr. Matthew J. Fitzpatrick 61, of Medford died suddenly at his home on Christmas Day. Born in Somerville, son of the late Michael B. and Elaine R. (Sarkisian) Fitzpatrick, he was educated in Medford and is a graduate of Medford Vocational High School.
He worked for a chemical company, packing and filling orders for delivery. Mr. Fitzpatrick remained a lifelong resident of Medford. He was a spirited man who enjoyed travelling to the various parts of Boston on any given day. He is survived by four sisters: Ann Nucci of Medford, Jean Prior and her husband Dave of RI, Michele Zinko and her husband Ted of Wakefield, Carol DelTorto of Medford, two brothers: Michael Fitzpatrick and his wife Marley of Revere, Glen Fitzpatrick and his wife Andrea of North Reading.; Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday from 4 through 8 Pm. at the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, Saturday at 10:00 am. Services will conclude with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
