Mr. Carol Ruff, age 65, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Golden Living Center following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home, 440 S.W. Monroe Avenue in Mayo, Florida. Rev. Steven Ruff will officiate with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Mayo, Florida.
Mr. Ruff was born on April 5, 1947 in Campobello, South Carolina to the late Lathan Lamar Ruff and the late Naomi Ruff. In his spare time, Mr. Ruff enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan, spending time with his friends, and traveling. He was of the Baptist faith and worked as a dairy farmer all of his adult life.
Mr. Ruff is survived by his wife of 4 years, Eleanor Anne Ruff, of Tifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven Wade and Terri Ruff of Beaufort, South Carolina and Jason and Mindy Ruff of Mayo, Florida; four grandchildren; several other relatives; and numerous friends.
