Obituary



Theodore E. Kapala age 77 of Raynham died Friday December 21, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center after a lengthy battle with esophageal cancer. He was born in Lowell a son of the late Edward and Clara A. (Prouty) Kapala and was raised in Brockton. For over 30 years he had made his home in Raynham with his sister Josephine Kapala. Following his graduation from Brockton High School in 1953, Ted enlisted in the US Navy and served during the Korean Conflict. He remained in the Naval Reserve for 30 years and retired in 1987as a chief petty officer. Ted had also served with the Peace Corps in Ecuador.

Ted retired from the US Postal Service as a letter carrier in Brockton. In his free time he enjoyed reading. Ted was most proud of his naval service to his country.

In addition to his sister Josephine he is survived by many cousins.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (rte123) Brockton Sunday 2-5 pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 8:45 am for a funeral Mass in St. Ann Church 660 N. Main St. Raynham at 10 am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
