Obituary

NATICK: Carol Jane Oulton, age 79, a longtime Natick resident, went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband Don on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. She was the devoted wife of Donald Paul Oulton for 54 happy years.

Born, raised and educated in Brookline, MA she was a daughter of the late William and Catherine (O'Neil) Burke.

The Oultons married in 1958 and lived in Brookline prior to settling in Natick in 1964. Carol earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a second Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in 1957. Carol dedicated her life to her family. In 1985 after raising her children, she became employed with the US Air Force and was to work for the next 16 years at Hanscom Air Force Base. She was a Procurement Assistant/Technician in the Electronics Systems Center at the time of her retirement.

Carol was a longtime active parishioner at Saint James the Great Church in Wellesley. She and her family later joined Sacred Heart Parish in South Natick where Carol and her dearest friend Maureen Zullo began a Children's Choir. Carol was a gifted and accomplished pianist. One of her greatest joys was sharing her love of music with the children and serving as their organist for fourteen years. Carol very much enjoyed her retirement, particularly dining out with her best friend and husband, Don. She spent many happy times with her family, children, and grandchildren. Carol had a deep and abiding love for all her friends and staff at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center - wonderful people who cared for her and filled her last days with laughter.
