Obituary

Alan Webster Eatmon, 67, of Oxford, MS died at his home December 23, 2012. Born in Perry County, MS, he was the son of the late Wallace and Essie Foreman Eatmon and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. After his service during war, he later became a member of the National Guard. He worked many years for McQuay, Inc. in Grenada and later was an insurance representative for Woodmen of the World. Alan was a member of the NRA, and volunteered as a little league baseball coach for several years. He served as sound technician for Friendship Baptist Church, and was well known for helping others. He loved his children and grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all of his family.

Services are planned for Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Kilgore officiating. Visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in the Broad Street Cemetery in Coffeeville, MS with David Kilgore, Brad Kilgore, Jake Beckett, Robert Duke, Randy Denny, George Day, Devin Eatman and Roger Waters serving as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Wood Eatmon of Oxford, MS; a daughter, Alana Eatmon, and two step daughters, Amy Harmon and Kim Harmon, both of Paris, MS; two sons, Chad Alan Eatmon of Grenada, MS and Wallace Ian Eatmon of Taylor, MS; nine grandchildren, Garrison Eatmon, Cassie Eatmon, Devin Eatmon, Madison Eatmon, Ashton Eatmon, Tyler Callahand, Amilyn Callahand, Gracey Callahand, and Geno Moody; and two great grandchildren, Tristan Callahand and Emma Grace Rocha.
