José “Valado” Ledo, age 87 of Somerset, passed away on Dec. 23, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Rocha) Ledo. Born in Santo Antonio Alem Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, the son of the late João Viveiros Ledo and the late Irmelinda (Soares) Ledo. Prior to retiring, Mr. Ledo worked for Duro Finishing as a Machine Operator. He was also a Parishioner of St. John of God Church.
In addition to his wife of Somerset, he is survived by his children: Joseph Ledo of Somerset, Antonio Ledo of Swansea, Mary Cabral of Westport, and John Ledo of Somerset; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on THURSDAY here at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling hours WEDNESDAY 5-8 P.M.
