Obituary

Mrs. Aphrodite Rahilly, 88 of Boston, died Thursday in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center Burlington, as result of a vehicular accident. She was the wife of the late James J. Rahilly.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late William and Constantina (Stavropolous) Sarantakes. She was educated in Boston schools. Aphrodite was a true "Bostonian" living her entire life within a few block radius in the South End/ Bay Village sections of Boston. Mrs. Rahilly was a lovely woman who spoke her mind. She was dedicated to her family, spending time with her son and grandchildren. She loved to cook and was often referred to a s great cook of Greek and Lebanese dishes. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and playing "Bingo". She was the proverbial "neighborhood grandmother"
She leaves a son William Rahilly of Boston, and is the mother of the late Constance "Bonnie" Baker. Beloved grandmother of Jarrett Baker and his fiancée Denise DeMarco, Keith & Ashley Baker. Dear sister of the late John & Andrew Sarantakes. A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home on Thursday at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with Interment in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston. .
