Obituary

Joseph Na Tran, 81, of Worcester died Friday, December 21st in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Dinh Le; six children, Dung Le of Worcester, Isabel Tran of Worcester, Thuan Tran of Woonsocket, RI, Diep Pennell of Johnston, RI, Cuong Tran of Worcester and Tien Tran of Worcester; three sisters in Vietnam and five grandchildren.
He was born in Vietnam the son of De V. and Thay T. Tran. Mr. Tran was a Lt. Col. with the Vietnamese Military. Following the Vietnam War, Joseph was placed into a labor camp from 1975 until 1988. In 1992, he came to the United States where he became a member of Our Lady of Vilna Church. He was involved in many different activities at the church and enjoyed to socialize. He belonged to the Vietnamese Association and an elderly group.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 29th from 8:00 until 10:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Vilna Church, 153 Sterling Street. Cremation will follow in All Faith’s Crematory.
