Virginia E. Wilkinson

Virginia E. (Stech) Wilkinson, 92, longtime Henry County resident, died December 21, 2012 at Elmcroft in Muncie.
She was born on May 15, 1920 the daughter of Harmon Grover and Winifred Rachel (Shutt) Stech. She was a graduate of Purdue University where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority. She was a home economics teacher with the Anderson Community Schools teaching at Madison Heights Junior High and Eastside Junior High and retiring in 1980. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Daughters of the American Colonists (DAC), as well as a life time member of the Alpha Pi Chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha International. She and her husband, Gene Richard Wilkinson, who preceded her in death on July 23, 2009, lived for many years on the family farm near Markleville.
SURVIVORS: 3 Children, Karla Lipp and husband Howard of Longmont, CO, William R. Wilkinson of Muncie, and Robert Gene Wilkinson of Troy, MI. 2 grandchildren: Jennifer Lyons of San Francisco, CA, and Nathan Lipp of Longmont, CO 1 nephew and 3 nieces
PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: a brother, Harmon Grover Stech Jr.
Service will be held on Wednesday, December 26th, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson. Burial will follow at the Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Friends may call from Noon until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
