Lobosco, Porzia (Fanuele) of Norwood, formerly Roslindale and Medfield, died Friday evening just 10 days short of her 105th birthday. Beloved wife of the late John Lobosco who died in 1951 at age 53. Born in Montemurro (Potenza) Italy on January 1, 1908 and settled in Boston with her family at age 15. At age 19 she married John Lobosco of Albany, NY, also of Montemurro and started her family there until 1942 then moving back to Boston settling in Dorchester then to Roslindale and Medfield. The last 9 years she had been a resident of Charlwell House of Norwood. Mrs. Lobosco leaves her son John and his wife Maria of West Roxbury, Joseph and his wife Dora of Nevada and Isabella Guarino and her husband Guido of Norfolk and the late Eleanor Hickey and Anthony. Also leaving 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Vincent, Charles, Orlando, Rocco and Anthony.
Funeral from the Robert J. Lawler and Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Wednesday December 26, at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Sunday December 23, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
Interment Wednesday at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
