NATICK: Donald Paul Oulton, Esq., age 82, a longtime Natick resident and retired attorney, died peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday evening, December 19, 2012, at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. He was the devoted husband of Carol Jane (Burke) Oulton for 54 happy years.

Born, raised and educated in Kingston, NY, he was a son of the late Francis and Nancy (Carroll) Oulton. Don enlisted with the US Army in 1951 and saw combat in Korea where he earned a Combat Infantry Badge and three bronze service stars while rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. Returning from Korea, he served with the National Honor Guard at Arlington National Cemetery until his discharge.

The Oultons married in 1958 and lived in Brookline prior to settling in Natick in 1964. He served as an ADA with the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office until 1973. Don then became employed with the US Air Force and was to work for the next 30 years at Hanscom Air Force Base. He was Chief of the International Law Division of the Judge Advocate’s Office at the time of his retirement. Donald had also had a private law practice in Natick for several years.

A member of the Massachusetts Bar Assoc., the Supreme Judicial Court of the United States, the Federal Bar Assoc., and a number of other professional organizations, Don was a longtime active parishioner and CCD teacher at Saint James the Great Church in Wellesley. He and his family later joined Sacred Heart Parish in South Natick. He loved the game of golf from the age of 9 and won many tournaments at Twaalfskill Golf Club in Kingston. Don very much enjoyed his retirement, particularly dining out with his best friend and wife, Carol. He spent many happy times with his family, children, and grandchildren.
