Obituary

Veronica M. (Rembis) Kubara Neville, 99, of Salem, New Hampshire, died unexpectedly Thursday in Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center in Northborough.

Veronica, daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Dul) Rembis, was born in Haverhill and and educated in local schools. She lived in Salem for many years. She was predeceased by her first husband, Stephen M. Kubara and her second husband, Ernest L. Neville.

Veronica lived a full life. She will be long remembered for her sense of style and fashion, enjoying all things sparkly and purple. She took great care to be as beautiful on the outside as she was within. Even though she suffered great loss in her life, losing two husbands and both of her children, Veronica always had a smile to share. She lived life and embraced it and her passion for dancing will be long remembered. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots and many years ago, was crowned Miss Methuen. Veronica touched many lives in her 99 years. She was a warm and generous woman whose kind and thoughtful ways will not be forgotten.

She will be deeply missed by her sister, Mary Brown of Rochester, NH; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, one daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Kubara; four sisters-in-law, Mary Rembis of Lawrence, Helen Rembis of Methuen, Marion Rembis of Haverhill and Anne Gribok of Hooksett, NH; nieces, nephews and many special friends on Friendship Drive. Besides her husband she was predeceased by two children; Robert S. Kubara and Sandra A. Shimkonis; eight brothers, Alec, Adam, Joseph, John, Stephen, Martin, Julian and Andrew and one sister, Milka Rembis.

Family and friends are planning to honor and celebrate her long and full life with a Funeral Mass in St. Anne’s Church, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead, NH on Thursday, December 27 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH. Friends will be warmly received in the KENNETH H. POLLARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen on Wednesday, December 26 from 3-7 PM.
