James H. Jamgochian, age 88 of Woburn and Boca Raton, FL formerly of Winchester passed away peacefully on December 21st at the Winchester Hospital following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Jennie (Messina) Jamgochian and together they shared 67 years of marriage. Born in Boston he was the son of the late Sahag and Irene (Agopian) Jamgochian.
James was born and raised in Boston as a young boy and then moved to Watertown with his family where they lived for a number of years. He was a retired Insurance agent and worked for nearly thirty years with the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. prior to his retirement. Mostly devoted to his family, James enjoyed spending the winter months in Florida where he and his wife were members of the Delray Beach Club and together they enjoyed dancing and being active in the club's many different social events. James also enjoyed playing the violin and listening to music.
In addition to his beloved wife, Jennie, He is survived by his children, Gerald Jamgochian and his wife Nancy of Reading, and Miriam Jamgochian of Woburn. He was the loving grandfather of Jaime and Julie Jamgochian and is further survived by cousins Edwina Walsh of Watertown and Edward Jamgochian of Virginia.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Thursday, December 27th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
