Janet L. (Wilson) Heafey, 74, of Salem, NH, formerly of Methuen, died peacefully Wednesday in the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill.
Janet, daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Gillett) Wilson, was born in Lawrence on March 18, 1938. She graduated from Searles HIgh School in Methuen and later attended McIntosh Business School. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Monica’s Church in Methuen.
She will be deeply missed by her husband of 49 years, Richard W. Heafey; two children, Colleen A. Heafey of Methuen and Brian J. Heafey and his wife Kathy of Derry, NH; one sister, Joyce A. Wilson of Methuen; three grandchildren, Ashley Heafey, P.J. Heafey and Dillon Heafey. She was the sister of the late Marilyn J. Wilson of Methuen who died in 2003.
Her funeral will be held Monday, December 24 at 9 AM in St. Monica’s Church, 212 Lawrence St., Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen. Calling hours in the Kenneth H.
