Verna Marie Fraze, 95, passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
Verna's passion was ballroom dancing, playing pinochle and singing the old gospel hymns. She was a member of Hikes Point Christian Church, Rebecca Circle, Buechel Woman’s Club, Bluegrass Homemakers, Moose Lodge Senior Citizens Chapter 573, American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post #201, Widow and Widowers Club and Senior Citizens of Jeffersontown. Her love of family and unwavering faith, sustained her to the end.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Gilbert Dye and Edward Fraze; her parents Joseph and Della Gerlack; brother, Norman and sister, Marjorie.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Brown; granddaughter, Rebecca and her husband Chuck Sykes; great grandchildren, Kelly and Connor; grandson, Rohn Brown; cousin, Murrel Straley; best friend, Margaret Wolke; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road, after 10am Thursday, December 27 until the service at 11:30am. Burial will be private.
