James Hillard Hunter, 82, of Clarksville, TN, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was born on April 14, 1930 in Montgomery County, Tennessee to the late James Arthur Hunter and Rose Alma Hudgens Hunter. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kevin Dean Hunter and Sister, Elizabeth Anderson.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Brother Derek Smith and Brother Mike Madewell officiating. Burial will be in Living Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 3-7 p.m. and Saturday, December 22, 2012 from 12 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Hillard worked for the Zinc Plant. He was also a member of Living Hope Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Bell and Gloria Smith of Clarksville, TN; brother, Bobby Hunter of Clarksville, TN; sister, Madeline Hunter of Ohio; three grandchildren, Jerry Wayne Pardue, Jr., Hunter Mac Smith, and Jason Hunter Holt; and four great grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
