Mr. Joseph L. Hayes, of Taunton, died Wednesday, December 12 in Portsmouth, R.I. as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was the beloved fiancé of Sarah Clancy of Bridgewater. He was born 32 years ago in Houston, Texas, the son of Debra (Gracia)Hayes of Taunton. He was educated in Taunton and had been a city resident for most of his life. He was formerly employed as a carpenter for G. St.Martin Company of Taunton for 3 years. He was previously employed at Hendricks Pools for 2 years. Joseph enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, reading and playing basketball and football with his son.
In addition to his mother and fiancé, he leaves: 1 son: Cameron Hayes of Barrington, R.I., Cameron’s mother, Erin Francis of Barrington, R.I.; 1 brother: Joshua Hayes of Taunton; his maternal grandmother: Beatrice Babbitt of No.Dighton; his paternal grandmother: Wannie Hayes of Indian Springs, Nev., and several uncles, great aunts, nephews and cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, on Thursday, December 20 at 7:00 P.M. Visiting Hours will precede the Service, Thursday, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
