Josef Touet of Stoneham, formerly of Somerville passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Winchester Hospital. He was 88 years of age.
Josef was born in Aachen, Germany in 1924. As a young man he served in the German Navy as a radioman. Before coming to America, Josef worked as a tool and die maker in South Africa for a number of months in 1957 assembling a pralette plant for Trumpf Chocoladen Factory. At NECCO, Josef met Rita Sbraccia, executive secretary to the President. They married in September 1958.
After retiring from tool and die work, Josef discovered his passion for woodworking creating many beautiful pieces of furniture for his family and friends as well as smaller works of woodcraft.
