Obituary

WAYLAND: Vincent James “Jimmy” Galluzzo, 78, died peacefully on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Oak Knoll Health Care following a period of declining health.
He was born in Sudbury on August 15, 1934 the son of the late Salvatore Galluzzo and Mary P. (Agostino) Galluzzo.
He is survived by his children Mellissa K. Galluzzo and her husband Benjamin N. Iliff of Wayland and James J. Galluzzo of Natick. Grandfather of Kaleigh M. Galluzzo of Wayland and step-grandfather of William Iliff of Natick. Brother of Annette Poulos of Framingham, Rosie Dolloway of Ashland and Angie Gennaro and her husband Anthony of Framingham. Brother of the late Dominic Galluzzo, John Galluzzo and Josephine Devoe. Also survived by his former wife Marie L. (Gorman) Galluzzo of Wayland and several nieces and nephews.
Jimmy has been a longtime resident of Wayland and spent his formative years in Framingham. He served his country in 1953 with the United States Army. He retired after over twenty years of dedicated service to the Town of Wayland as a General Foreman with the Highway Department. Jimmy was devoted to his family and especially enjoyed taking his son James to his Special Olympics meets and spending time with his granddaughter Kaleigh. He has a passion for motorcycles and spent many hours traveling on them. He will be greatly missed by all the people he has met during his lifetime.
His family will receive friends and family for visitations on Thursday, December 20, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Private family interment in the Galluzzo family lot at Saint Stephens Cemetery in Framingham will be held at their convenience.
