FRANKLIN—Lorraine C. (Mercurio) Renda 68, of Franklin, died Saturday December 15, 2012 at Norwood Hospital following her battle with cancer.
Born in Boston, March 27, 1944 a daughter of the late Salvatore and Lucy (Gilardi) Mercurio, she was a resident of Franklin for over 36 years and was a former resident of Brighton.
She was raised and educated in Brighton, and was a graduate of St. Columbkille High School. Until her retirement she enjoyed working with her many friends at McDonald’s in Milford.
A devoted mother, “Ma” enjoyed spending time with her children & grandchildren, watching old movies, and spending time with her extended family in Gloucester, MA.
She is survived by her children, Theresa M. “Terry” Golden and her husband John of Mansfield, Ernest J. “EJ” Renda and his wife Carrie of Bellingham and Christopher Renda and his wife Allison of Gloversville, New York, her beloved grandchildren: Colin, Brendan, Lindsey, & Kelsey Golden, Joseph Renda, Kyle, Brady, and Evan Renda, her former husband Ernest D. Renda of Mesa, Arizona and 2 sisters.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Friday Dec. 21st, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 10AM.
Her interment will be held privately.
