Worcester, MA - Dorothy P. (Donth) Rose, 89, died peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Holy Trinity Nursing & Hospice Home. She was born in New Bedford, daughter of Annie (Ruesch) and Frederick P. Donth and was a graduate of New Bedford High School. Dorothy was a member of Greendale Peoples Church and until her illness, she was active as a volunteer in many social activities. She enjoyed stamp, coin collecting and coin appraisal for family and friends. She very much enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn D. and Dennis Astrella of Southbridge; her sister, Lillian Teixeira of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews including Janice Fauteux, Nancy Paiva, Robert Hoffler, and Joey Teixeira. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Thomas R. Rose, as well as two sisters, Gladys Fauteux and Shirley Hoffler, and a brother, Robert Donth.
Funeral services will be private. Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, is assisting the family with arrangements.
