Patricia A. (Ellgner) Power, a 27 year resident of Newburyport and formerly of Charlestown, passed into eternal life on Friday, December 14, 2012 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport after a short illness with cancer. She was 73 years old.
Pat was born in Boston on July 3, 1939, a daughter of the late Joseph Ellgner and Margaret (Casey) Ellgner. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended St. Francis De Sales Parochial School and the Boston Public School system. Pat worked as a Home Health Aide in Charlestown for several years before moving to Newburyport and working with the Haverhill Visiting Nurse Association as a Home Health Aide for over 27 years.
Pat is the devoted mother of Donna Dacey of Charlestown, Charles Power of Seabrook, New Hampshire, Bobby Power of Everett, Joey Power of Somersworth, New Hampshire, Anthony Power of Revere and Tina Gillen of Somersworth, New Hampshire. She is the loving Nana Pat to 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Kay Coughlin of Florida and the late Peggy Galipeau.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Patricia's Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 10 a.m. in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Interment is private. There are no visiting hours.
