Obituary

Reynolds, Robert C. “Bob” 81, of Dedham, formerly of Dromod County Leitrim, Ireland, died peacefully on Dec 15, 2012. Beloved husband of the late Mary Patricia (Duffy) Reynolds. Son of the late Bernard and Josephine (Malloy), and birthmother Theresa (Gallagher) Reynolds. Cherished father of Michael B. Reynolds of Dedham and Robert C. Reynolds Jr. and his wife Mara of Northborough. Adoring grandfather to Daniel, Andrew, Katelyn, and Elizabeth. Brother to Attracta Hurley of Arlington, Concepta Barron of Quincy, Florence Moushegian of Nashua, NH, John Reynolds of Dedham, Bernard Reynolds of Brighton, Michael Reynolds of Norwood, Aiden Reynolds of Brighton, Vincent Reynolds of Watertown, and Martin Reynolds of West Roxbury. Bob’s marriage of over 50 years to Pat was inspirational. Bob loved his Irish heritage. He visited the “old country” many times, most recently with his sons and many family members in 2010 where they meandered through the countryside and relived his romps as a youth. Bob also was proud to become an American citizen and veteran of the Korean conflict. He had a long and distinguished career with the telephone company but is better defined by his love of family, charitable service, and overall thirst for life. Former commander of the William B. Doyle Post in Hyde Park. Active member of the Moose Lodge in Dedham, the Dedham Retired Men’s Club, the Dedham Human Services Community Greenhouse, and former member of the Erin’s Hope Gaelic Football Club. Bob was a storied Gaelic and Soccer player (“the Powerhouse”) and a former president of the Dedham Youth Soccer Association. He coached and influenced hundreds along the way. Bob’s interests included dancing, music and singing, gardening, cooking, golf, and all things Irish. He was loved and will be missed by many. Funeral from the William J.
