Ildemaro J. "Eddie" Vieira, 42, of New Bedford died Thursday December 13, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries sustained in a fall in New Bedford.
Born in Barreiro, Portugal, the son of Antonio M. and Angelina (Medeiros) Vieira, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
He was formerly employed as a truck driver.
He was a loving father who was devoted to his children. He loved family vacations, traveling, riding his Harley Davidson, going to the beach, skiing, four-wheeling, and camping.
Survivors include his parents; his fiancée, Ana Almeida of New Bedford; three children, Noah J. Vieira, Kendra A. Vieira, and Kaylee A. Vieira, all of New Bedford; his siblings, Luis Vieira, Carmen Vieira, and Fernando Vieira, all of Portugal, Joao Vieira and Antonio Vieira, both of New Bedford, Ana Figueroa of New Jersey, and Rosa Vieira of Fall River; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Monday, December 17th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, December 16th from 5-9 PM.
