New Bedford - Rita T. "Grams" (Jordan) Lowe, 85, of New Bedford passed away December 14, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Harry A. Lowe, Sr.
Mrs. Lowe was born in Central Falls, RI, daughter of the late Jesse J. and Lucia D. (Roy) Jordan, and resided in the greater New Bedford area all of her life. She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church. She was employed as a tester by Aerovox for 34 years after which she worked as a cafeteria worker for the New Bedford Public School Department and finally as a secretary for Christine's Studio of Performing Arts until her retirement. She attended the Senior Center in Fairhaven, loved to dance, enjoyed music, bingo, traveling to the National Dance Competitions but most of all spending time with her family.
Survivors include 3 daughters: Barbara A. Lowe-Mazaheri, Brenda J. Silva and Patricia E. McAfee; 2 sons: Harry A. Lowe, Jr. and Michael R. Lowe; 3 sisters: Gloria Bachand, Shirley Bergeron and Joyce Rodrigues; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
She was sister of the late Ronald Jordan, Paul Jordan and Carol Costa and grandmother of the late Christopher Mazaheri.

Funeral from the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. on Monday, December 17, 2012 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Church at 10:00 A.M.
Interment in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.
