Obituary

Aurora C. (Giusti) Rolli died peacefully in her sleep on November 30, 2012, at Whaler's Cove in New Bedford at the age of 96. She was the wife of the late Aldo J. Rolli.

Mrs. Rolli was born in New Bedford on Aug. 17, 1916, to John and Mary (Castagnoli) Giusti.

She was a graduate of New Bedford High School.

Mrs. Rolli's father owned Giusti Baking Company where she worked prior to her marriage. Her grandfather was the sculptor at St. Anthony's Church in New Bedford and other churches in the U.S. and Canada.
Mrs. Rolli was an avid reader and had an interest in current events right up to the time of her death. When younger, she enjoyed European travel with her husband. She coped gracefully with the physical infirmities of aging, and enjoyed visits from younger family members.


She is survived by her sons, William Rolli of New Bedford and Attorney John Rolli of Melbourne Beach, Fla.; grandsons Noah Rolli of Melbourne, Fla. and Adam Rolli of Doyline, La.; great-grandsons Brendan and Justin Rolli; and many nieces and nephews. .
She was predeceased by her four sisters, Elizabeth Aulisio, Juliet Wright O'Shea, Anita Lapierre and Gloria Lapierre.

Mrs. Rolli requested that no memorial service be held. Her ashes were scattered in the ocean at Red Rock Beach in Fairhaven, where her family had enjoyed many summers in her youth.
