SHREWSBURY – Mr. John F. “Buddy” Howard, 83, passed away Tuesday December 11th at St Francis Home in Worcester
John is survived by three sons, John Howard and his wife Carol of East Brookfield William Howard and his wife Doris of East Brookfield, Joseph Howard and his wife Bonnie of Spencer, a daughter, Susan Sespaniak and her husband Joseph of Spencer, his sister in law, Mary Howard of Auburn; and his long time companion, Sadie Mirante, nine grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
John was pre-deceased by his brothers, James Howard and Richard “Skip” Howard and four sisters, Ruth Sardagnola, Madeline Y. McDermott, Catherine E. Raymond, and Geraldine St. Onge.
John was born July 26, 1929 in Millbury, Massachusetts a son of the late James H. and Ellen (Obea) Howard.
He worked as a production manager at A.S.A. Bartlett Press in Worcester. Bartlett Press was bought by Mercantile Press where John worked for thirty-five years up until his retirement. John volunteered at the Shrewsbury Senior Center and was a member of the Sheriff’s Association.
His funeral mass will be held Friday December 14th at St Stephen’s Church of Worcester at 10:00a.m. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. THERE WILL BE NO VISITING HOURS.
