Obituary

Walter R. Wilson, 88, of Worcester, died Wednesday, December 12th in The Golden Living Center-Hermitage. He leaves a brother, Frank Wilson of Charlton; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, William, Richard, and Harry Wilson, and his sisters, Evelyn Beauvais and Ruth Chouinard.
He was born in Worcester, the son of William T. and Anna (Olson) Wilson and attended the former High School of Commerce and Worcester Boys Trade School. Mr. Wilson was a machinist at Heald Machine for 31 years before retiring. He was a member of All Saints Church, where he belonged to the Choir Alumni and was Past President of its AARP. Walter was also a longtime Mason and he had bowled for Heald Machine’s bowling team. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran, where he was a quartermaster and served in the Pacific Theatre.
The funeral is Saturday, December 15th with a service at 10:00 A.M. in All Saints Church, 10 Irving Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. A visiting hour is from 9:00 until 10:00 A.M. in the church. Contributions in his memory may be made to All Saints Church, 10 Irving Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
