Beloved Mother
LIMERICK, MAINE: Mary E. (Green) Rogers, age 44, of Limerick, ME, formerly of Waterboro, ME, Amesbury and Tewksbury, MA, passed away at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston on Saturday, December 8, 2012, with her family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of 23 years of Richard A. Rogers.
Born in Claremont, NH on January 12, 1968, she was the daughter of William Green, who survives her, of Falcarragh, Co. Donegal, Ireland and the late JoAnn M. (Larmie) Green.
Mary was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Lowell High School in 1986. Following graduation, she attended the Tewksbury Hospital School of Nursing where she received certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
While living in Amesbury, Mary was a four year member and Past President of the P.T.A.. In 2002, she was elected to serve as a member of the Amesbury School Committee.
Prior to her illness, she worked for several years as a nurse for the Greenwood Rehabilitation Center in Sanford, Maine.
In addition to her husband and father, Mary is survived by three children, Kyle W. Rogers of Boston, U.S. Navy Seaman, Kimberly J. Rogers of Monterey, CA and Sean A. Rogers of Limerick, ME; three brothers, D. Patrick Green of Tewksbury, Sean M. Green of Dracut and B. Kevin Green of Kentucky.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Funeral Mass on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11:30 a.m., in St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., (Rt. 38), Tewksbury. Interment will follow at Tewksbury Cemetery. At the request of the family there are No Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory can be made to the Massabesic Lions Club Catastrophic Illness Fund, 1813 D, Main St., Waterboro, ME 04087.
