Genevieve N. (Cataldo) Luongo, age 95, of Abington, formerly of Boston, died Tuesday December 11, 2012 at Braemoor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was the wife of the late Louis A. Luongo. Born and raised in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Amato and Nunzia (Rizzo) Cataldo. She was a graduate of Boston Trade School and for many years had been employed as a dressmaker at Marion’s Dress Shop in Boston. Genevieve’s life was centered around her family, whether it was spending time with them or creating and sewing outfits for them.
She is survived by a daughter Nancy Pucillo and her husband Louis of Abington; two grandchildren Judith Lizio and her husband Peter of Norton and Sandra Gravel-Pucillo and her partner Dana of Jericho, VT; five great grandchildren and two great great grandsons. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Louis Cataldo, Phyllis Spinali, Camille Colarusso, and Marie and Anthony Cataldo.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday 10-11am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11am. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
