Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church at 9 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday 3-5 pm.
Obituary
Mrs. Murphy died Friday morning at the Brockton Hospital after a sudden illness. Born in Brockton, daughter of the late James and Jenny (Lawson) McCabe. She remained a life long resident of Brockton, attended St. Patrick School and graduated from Brockton High School. She had been a seamstress at Century Sportswear, Garland Mills and for several other local garments manufactures. She enjoyed sewing, reupholstering and making her own clothes. She also loved music, especially country western.
She is survived by a daughter Margaret E. Ferrini and her husband Robert of FL and a son, Edward T. Murphy, Jr. and his wife Patricia of FL., four grandchildren, Lisa Perry of Duxbury, Anthony Ferrini of FL., Kerrie Simmons of Carver and Daniel Murphy of FL. and five great grandchildren, three sisters, Martha Connelly of FL., Rose Capen of OR and Jenny Rich of Brockton
