Obituary

Flannery, Edward M. of Newtonville, 62, formerly of Roslindale, December 6, 2012, died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved son of the late John F. and Helen G. (McGillicuddy) Flannery. Loving brother of John Flannery and his wife Janet of Sharon, Katherine Flannery Moss of Somerville, Joseph D. Flannery and his wife Elizabeth of Medfield. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the F.J Higgins Funeral Home, 4236 Washington St. Roslindale Square, on Monday December 10, at 9:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in The Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre St. West Roxbury, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.

Visiting hours Sunday 2:00 to 6:00 PM.

Interment will be private.

Late employee of the Allen Edmonds Shoe Company. Worked for many years at AT&T. A graduate of Catholic Memorial High School, Class of 1968.
Eddie was an avid marathon runner and a Civil War buff, who was actively involved as a volunteer tour guide at the Gettysburg battleground. His passions were family, reading, San Francisco and country music.
