Donald P. Ciampa Sr....longtime Tewksbury resident, Korean war Veteran; 73

Newbury, MA- Donald P. Ciampa Sr., 73, a former resident of Tewksbury, died Tuesday June 22,at Wingate Nursing Home in Reading. He was the Husband of the late Jean A. DeFilippo , whodied in August of 1988.

He was born in Charlestown, July 16, 1930. He is the last of ten childrento the late Charles and Blanche (Lacourse) Ciampa. He was a longtime resident of Tewksburyuntil moving to Newbury.

He worked at Canada Dry for 25 years before his retirement fromRaytheon after 10 years. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during theKorean war. He enjoyed going to the beach and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by three sons; Donald P. and his wife Deborah (Jones) Ciampa of Newbury, RobertA. and Judith (Cabral) Ciampa of Wilmington, Wayne J. Ciampa of Plaistow, NH. SixGrandchildren; Jeremy and Joshua Ciampa of Newbury, Zachary and Aliana of Wilmington,Dustin Wayne and Brooke Elizabeth Ciampa of Plaistow, NH. He is also survived by his mother-in- law Blanche DeFilippo of Charlestown and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was father of thelate Deborah A. and Kenneth M. Ciampa.

His Funeral Mass was held Friday, June 25, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Interment with Air Force Honors was in TewksburyCemetery.
