Mario S. Ferreira, age 60, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 7, 2012. He was born on December 23, 1951 in Portugal to Oracio and Maria Mateia Ferreira. He was a communicant of Holy Name Church in Chicopee. Mario was the former owner of the Moonlight Café for over 25 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends very much and loved antique cars. Mario is predeceased by his father Oracio Ferreira. He leaves his loving wife Helena Ferreira of Chicopee; his mother Maria Ferreira of Springfield; one step son Michael Casimiro and his wife Amanda of Feeding Hills; one step daughter Jennifer Mendes and her husband Timmy of Chicopee; one brother Acacio Ferreira of Ludlow; three grandchildren Ava and Keira Mendes and Preston Casimiro; two god children Bryana Ferreira and Alexa Louro and one nephew and god child Bryan Ferreira. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 8:45 AM from the Grise Funeral Home 280 Springfield Street, Chicopee with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 AM in Holy Name Church in Chicopee. Burial will follow in St Michael Cemetery. Visiting Hours will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
