Fred I. Lewis
Jan. 6, 1935 to Dec. 6, 2012

Fred I. Lewis, 77, of Anderson died December 6, 2012 at Countryside Manor after an extended illness.

He was born January 6, 1935 in Dunkirk, Indiana to John H. and Martha Pauline (Wilson) Lewis

He served in the Air Force Reserves.

He was a tool & die maker for 39 years at Delco Remy before retiring in 1993.

He was a member of East Side Community Club, Eary Thunderbirds of Hoosierland, and a Car and antique tractor enthusiast.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie (Lucas) Lewis of Anderson whom he married in Albany, IN on December 20, 1969; daughter, Beth (Matthew) Maier of Noblesville; son, Bill (Ann) Lewis of New Ulm, MN; two sisters, Sarah Bantz of Muncie and Donna (Larry) James of Dunkirk; three grandchildren Sophia Maier; Josephine Maier and Ben Lewis; his mother-in-law, Bessie McReynolds of Pendleton; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Darrin Lewis, two brothers Herbert Lewis and Max Lewis and a sister Jeannette Smith.

Service will be held on Monday, December 10 at 10:00 A.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Orland Gibbons. Burial will be in Black Cemetery in Albany, IN.

Visitation will be Sunday, December 9, 2012 from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society.
