SPENCER;Patrick M. Newell 26 of 4205 Lamont St.,SanDiego, Calif., formerly of Spencer, died Saturday, June 19 at U.C.S.D. Thornton Hospital in LaJolla. He bravely and courageously fought his year long journey with acute lymphoblastic lymphoma/leukemia and did so without complaint. In his last week, he was supported by a constant vigil of family and friends at his bedside.He is survived by his mother and step father Mary A. (Pelchat) and Robert C. Pepin, his father Michael Newell, his brother Jeffrey G. Newell, his step sister Danielle J. Pepin, his maternal grandparents Norman and Helen Pelchat and his paternal grandparents Gerald and Noreen Newell all of Spencer, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and his girlfriend and constant source of support, Alison Caruso of SanDiego. He graduated from David Prouty High School in 1995 where he played football, baseball and golf and was class treasurer. He graduated from Keene State College in 1999 and then worked at Lacosta Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. He was most recently a sales representative for Classic Wines of Calif. He enjoyed life, his family and friends. He touched many lives with his good-nature, kindness and wonderful smile. He will be missed by all.The funeral will be held Saturday, June 26 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME,23 Maple Terr.,Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
