SAN CLEMENTE, CA – Irene T. (Janakowski) Wisnewski, 89, formerly of Webster, MA, died peacefully Friday, November 23, 2012 in San Clemente Villas By The Sea. Her husband of 59 years, J. Bernard Wisnewski, died in 2003.
She leaves a son, Steven Wisnewski and his wife Donna of San Clemente, CA; a daughter, Paula Martin-Harding and her husband Edward Harding of Huntington Beach, CA; a granddaughter, Christine Rice of Parker, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Jane Pakradooni and her grandson Christopher Pakradooni in 1980, by her brother John Janakowski in 2001, and by her sister Helen Szymczak in 2011.
Irene was born in Webster, the daughter of Thomas and Victoria (Jankot) Janakowski and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1941 and was married in 1944. She moved to California in 2007.
Mrs. Wisnewski worked at Hubbard Regional Hospital in Webster for 24 years, retiring as the Office Manager in 1986. She owned and operated Antiques and Uniques in Webster for several years.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica in Webster and a member of the former Hubbard Regional Hospital Guild.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, December 14, at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the Friends of Saint Joseph School Fund, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster, MA 01570.
