Nicolas Koyanu, 86, of Worcester passed peacefully Wednesday, December 5th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. He leaves his wife of 45 years, Margareta (Hagianis) Koyanu; a sister, Andronia Patriquin and her husband, David of Halifax, Nova Scotia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was born in Romania the son of John and Maria Koyanu. Nicolas was a member of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Mr. Koyanu owned and operated A1 Pizza in Worcester with his wife, Margareta for many years.
His funeral is Monday, December 10th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 102 Russell Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, December 9th from 3:00 until 5:00 PM in the funeral home.
