Donald was born in Reading, Massachusetts, where he spent his entire life. He had a great love of New England and the town of Reading. He never felt any great desire to look beyond its limits. All of life’s greatest gifts, for him, were right there.
He worked as a glazier. Building and repairing greenhouses would be his life’s work, until his retirement. A career he cherished.
Donald was soft spoken, but possessed a keen sense of humor. He enjoyed immensely the routine of his day, his friends, and had a passion for reading the newspaper. Donald was incredibly well read. He was a man secure in his views, his opinions, but often expressed them with a true wit. He cared deeply about his family, his friends and the world around him.
Donald was loved. He will be immeasurably missed. He will be laid to rest with his mother and siblings. Still in Reading.
In lieu of flowers, his family would welcome your donation in Don’s name to Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
