STELLA B. (KUCZYNSKA) ETTINGER , age 95, a former 42 year resident of Hingham, died on Tuesday, June 15th at the Adventist Hospital in Glendale,CA. after a long illness. Mrs. Ettinger was born in Boston on Sept. 3, 1908 the daughter of Stanislaus Kuczynski and Helena Kurpiewska, who were Polish immigrants. Mrs. Ettinger lived in Dorchester for many years and from 1931 to her retirement in 1960 owned and operated a beauty salon, the Betty Bee Beauty Shop located on Blue Hill Avenue. Mrs. Ettinger lived in Hingham from 1958 until 2000 at which time she relocated to Los Angeles.During her many years in Hingham, she was an active member of the Old Ship Church and the Dorothy Bradford Chapter of the Eastern Star.Wife of the late Alfred E. Posner and the late Edward E. Ettinger, she leaves her son Andrew L. P. Ettinger of Los Angeles. She was also the mother of the late Robert P. Ettinger.Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Observance on Thursday evening, June 24th from 5-7 PM at the Old Ship Parish House, 107 Main St., Hingham.The interment is to be private.
