Obituary

PRINCETON: Robert G. “Coke” Thibault, 87, of Coalkiln Road and formerly of Spencer died Saturday, Dec. 1 in UMass Memorial Hospital University Campus after a courageous battle with kidney failure and congestive heart failure.

He leaves his wife of 51 years Marion L. (Keith) Thibault, two daughters Sandra Dubey and her husband Glen of Morriston, FL and Suzanne Garrity and her husband Thomas of Princeton with whom he lived, a sister Theresa McNally and her husband John of Worcester, 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, a son-in-law Roland Poisson of Princeton and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Rhonda Poisson who died in 2008.

Mr. Thibault was born in Spencer, son of William B. and Lydia M. (Ethier) Thibault. He was a waste water treatment operator for 32 years serving the Town of Spencer and later the Town of Sudbury before retiring. He served his country during WW II in the United States Navy. After retiring “Coke” and his wife enjoyed spending 20 years in Florida before retuning to Massachusetts in 2008. The family would like to thank the staff at the DaVita Center for their compassionate care and support.

The Funeral will be held Wednesday, Dec. 5 with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Family and friends are asked to go directly to Church. Burial with Military Honors will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. There are no calling hours.
