HUDSON, VIRGINIA S. "JENNY," 93, died November 29, 2012 at home with her family at her side.
Jenny was a beacon of kindness and was loved by all she was around. She grew up in Highland Park and was raised to lend a helping hand to everyone she knew. She was a member of Valley Station Baptist Church, the Eastern Star, the C-J recipient of the "Good Neighbor Award". She retired from Philip Morris after 30 plus years of service.
She is preceded by her husband, Alton B. "Shorty" Hudson.
She is survived by her sister, Lil Rupe; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to her nephew, Leon Sanders and Charlie and Ann Shelton. Your family will miss you and love you.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday after 10 a.m.
